1. About these terms
Books (books.intrithm.com and the Books app) is provided by Intrithm Technologies Private Limited ("we", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between us and the shop owner who uses Books ("you").
By requesting access, logging in or using Books you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Books. These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and do not need a physical or digital signature.
2. Who can use Books
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract under Indian law.
- Books is meant for businesses in India. Amounts are in Indian Rupees (₹).
- There are two ways to get an account. If you start on the free plan, we create your account after we approve your request (usually within a day). If you pay for Books Pro when you sign up, your account is created at once, with no approval step. One account is for one shop.
- The details you give us (name, shop name, phone, email, address) must be true and kept up to date.
- You are responsible for everything done with your login. Keep your password private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
3. What Books does
Books lets you keep a product list with prices, make bills, record expenses and other income, and see daily and monthly profit with reports you can download. Books runs in your web browser and stores your data on our cloud servers.
- We keep improving Books, so features may be added, changed or removed. If we remove a feature you rely on, we will try to tell you in advance.
- Features marked "coming soon" (for example stock tracking) are plans, not promises, and have no fixed date.
- Books is a record-keeping tool. With Books Pro and GST details entered in Settings, Books prints bills as a Tax Invoice (regular GST) or a Bill of Supply (composition scheme) from the registration type, GSTIN, rates and HSN codes you enter. You are responsible for choosing the right registration type, rates and codes; check them with your accountant. Books does not file GST returns or make e-invoices. Without Pro, or without GST details, bills are records of your sale and not GST invoices.
4. Your data and your responsibilities
- Your data is yours. The products, bills, expenses, income and shop details you enter ("Shop Data") belong to you.
- You give us permission to store, process and back up your Shop Data only so that we can run Books for you, keep it safe and give you support.
- You are responsible for the correctness of what you enter and for your own legal duties — for example GST, income tax, licences and keeping accounts for as long as the law requires.
- Books does not give tax, legal or accounting advice. Please talk to your accountant for that.
- On Books Pro, please download your reports regularly (Excel or PDF) so you always have your own copy. On the free plan, you can ask us for a full copy of your Shop Data at any time, free of charge, and we will send it as a file.
5. Things you must not do
- Use Books for anything unlawful, including fake bills, hiding income, or any fraud.
- Share your login with people outside your shop, or sell or rent access to Books.
- Try to get into other shops' data, our servers or our code, or test Books for weaknesses without our written permission.
- Copy, decompile or reverse-engineer Books, or use automated tools to overload it.
- Upload anything harmful (viruses, malicious code) or anything that infringes another person's rights.
6. Plans, fees and payments
Books has two plans. Prices are shown in Indian Rupees inside the app and on our website before you pay.
- Counter (free, forever). Bills, products, expenses and manual income for a normal shop day (up to 500 products and 100 bills a day), today's and this month's profit, and the last 60 days of bills and reports. No card, no time limit.
- Books Pro (paid). Everything in Counter, with room for up to 3,000 products and 1,000 bills a day, plus every month you have ever recorded, yearly reports, GST bills with a monthly GST summary, and Excel / PDF export. Current prices: ₹149 per month or ₹1,499 per year. The first 100 paying shops get the founding price of ₹999 per year, which stays theirs for as long as they keep renewing.
- Free trial. Every new account starts with 30 days of Pro. You are not charged for the trial and you do not need to do anything when it ends: the account simply moves to the free Counter plan.
- Paid in advance, no auto-renewal. You pay for one month or one year at a time. Nothing is charged automatically; when your paid time ends, Books tells you inside the app and you decide whether to pay again. Time you buy while still on Pro is added after your current plan ends.
- Payments are handled by Razorpay, a payment partner licensed in India (UPI, cards, net banking). We do not see or store your full card or UPI details.
- Fair use. Books is made for the ordinary use of one shop. A shop that passes its plan's limits is told so inside the app and asked to move to Pro or to contact us about a plan for larger shops; entries far beyond a plan (three times its daily limit) or made by automated means may be paused. Larger shops are welcome: write to us and we will agree a plan.
- GST. Prices are shown as the final amount you pay. If GST becomes applicable to Books, we will show it clearly before you pay.
- Locked, never deleted. When Pro ends, months older than 60 days and exports are locked, but every bill and expense is kept safely and opens again the moment you upgrade.
- Price changes. We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days' notice. A new price never applies to time you have already paid for. Founding-price shops keep their price while they keep renewing.
- Refunds are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, including the 30-day money-back on a first yearly payment.
7. Availability and backups
We work hard to keep Books available and your data safe, and we take regular backups. Still, like every online service, Books may sometimes be slow or unavailable — for example during maintenance, internet problems or events outside our control. Books needs an internet connection; it does not work offline.
8. Turning off and closing accounts
- You can stop using Books at any time and ask us to close your account.
- We may turn off or suspend an account if these Terms are broken, if required by law, or to protect other users or Books. Where reasonable, we will tell you first and explain why. Not paying for Pro never turns an account off: it moves to the free plan.
- When an account is closed, we keep your Shop Data for 90 days so you can ask us for a copy (we send it as a file, on any plan), and then delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
9. Our rights in Books
The Books software, design, logo, name and content of this website belong to us or our licensors and are protected by Indian copyright and trademark law. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Books for your own shop while your account is active. Other names mentioned on the site (such as Excel, PDF, WhatsApp or Razorpay) belong to their owners and are used only to describe what Books works with.
10. Limits of our responsibility
Books is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by Indian law, we are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profit, lost business or lost data that a backup could have prevented, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Books in the 12 months before the claim (or ₹1,000 if you have not paid anything). Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other law.
11. If you misuse Books
If someone makes a claim against us because you broke these Terms or the law while using Books, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of that claim.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For important changes we will tell you at least 30 days before they take effect. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated. If you keep using Books after a change takes effect, the new Terms apply.
13. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first — most problems can be solved by talking. If a dispute cannot be solved, the courts at Madurai, Tamil Nadu , India will have jurisdiction.
