What Books does not do (yet)
- Profit is money in minus the expenses you record. If you forget to note an expense, the profit will look higher than it is.
- Books does not track stock or what each item cost you, so it does not show profit per product.
- It does not keep credit (udhaar) accounts yet.

How does Books work out the profit?
Income is every saved bill plus any other income you note, such as a catering order. Cancelled bills are left out. Profit is income minus the expenses you record.
How do I note milk or gas I buy every day?
Create your own expense categories (Milk, Gas, Rent, Wages…) and add an amount in a few taps. Each category shows its share of the month.
Is this accounting software?
No. Books keeps your bills, expenses and profit. It does not file GST or keep a balance sheet; give your accountant the Excel export instead.
Can I see last month or last year?
The last 60 days are free. Books Pro opens every month you ever recorded, the yearly report and month-by-month comparison.
Can I give the numbers to my accountant?
Yes. With Pro, download any month or year as an Excel file, or print it as a PDF.
